How did you become designer ?
I’ve always wanted to do something creative. In elementary school, I decided to become a fashion designer because it was the only design area I knew at the time. At School of applied arts and designs I learned more and realized that I was really interested in the communication and design area that connects visually with verbal, 2D with 3D, print with online … integrating different areas to communicate some idea or message. After that, I enrolled the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb and for past 20 years, my professional life becomes very closely related to design, in design practice or as an educator in that field.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
I do not think the designer should have a style. My thinking about design moves from concept and communication – what we want to say or show about a product or project. We approach each new project from problem analysis and trying to find the design solutions that would best fit at that moment in time.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
We are currently working on several identities of natural cosmetics, an area that is developing quite well in Croatia. We are also heavily dedicated to tourism projects, whether it is tourism products, services or a specific area of health tourism.
What do you like the most in your job ?
The ability to constantly explore new topics and areas because each project is a new area to learn more about and see how to communicate creatively in it.
