Brachia is a new Croatian olive oil premium brand from the island of Bra\u010d. Brachia olive oils are made from the awarded olive variety named Oblica. There are two line extensions of the olive oil brand: standard and premium, in classic 0.25, 0.75 and 1 liter packaging; and exclusive, in 0.5 and 0.25 liter packaging. The task was to design labels for the classic standard and premium packaging which would define the oil\u2019s quality and authenticity, and also to design the packaging for the exclusive edition which would define the oil as premium, high-quality, original and valuable.<\/p>\n
Standard and premium lines of Brachia olive oil<\/strong> come in the existing glass packagings. Due to segmenting of target groups and different and specific market placement, two different kinds of labels were designed for these two lines. In the standard line, the brand name Brachia appears in the front, next to the illustration of an olive tree branch; the label on the back contains information about the origin and composition of the oil. For the premium line extension, angular labels were designed in which the brand Brachia, partially pressed in Braille varnish, appears with an illustration of an olive tree leaf. The label also contains information about the origin and composition of the oil.<\/p>\n The exclusive handmade packaging of Brachia olive oil<\/strong> is a practical gift or souvenir. Shaped as an olive fruit, the ceramic packaging has a layer of white coating. The neck is shaped as a small olive branch on which a pendant designed as an oil leaf is affixed. The ceramic \u201cOlive\u201d comes in a cardboard box wrapped in wood structured paper, along with a small metal funnel\/cap designed for use after the original wooden cap has been removed. The product stands out in the market because of its re-usability as a decorative and functional object. As for the packaging, it stands apart due to its design that clearly communicates its purpose (an olive fruit for olive oil) and the advantages of the product (white ceramics in an almost pharmaceutical form for a healthy aliment).<\/p>\n Besides the classic types, flavored olive oils (with lemon and chili)<\/strong> are also offered in the exclusive packaging. Since these oils are consumed in smaller portions than the classic olive oil, the \u201cOlive\u201d was downsized to a smaller capacity of 0.25 liters. The distinction between the flavors was achieved with color-coding (yellow for lemon and red for chili).
