DOMECA

verbal communication / identity / branding / packaging / web pages

DOMECA product group consists of a line of powdered sugars and a line of baking soda and citric powder. DOMECA powdered sugar is a product line consisting of four types of powdered sugar, 3 of which are flavored

The project includes the complete product development, from designing the names to designing the brand identity and product to designing the packaging. The idea was to make packaging functional, which is a novelty in the Croatian market in this product category. This practical packaging allows easy dispensing of the product. After removing the protective labels and opening the product, users can pick among three different sizes of the opening.

The basis of the visual identity for powdered sugars is a modern typography in combination with purified photographs and a pastel-color scale. The motifs and colors on the photos were chosen so as to be in relation to the product and to induce positive emotions: “heart“ cookie for strawberry flavor (love, childhood), “star” cookie for cinnamon flavor (the joys of winter, Christmas), vanilla rolls for vanilla flavor (the smell of baked cookies, childhood) and donuts for the classic powdered sugar (sweet snacks, sweet pleasure). Doses of sugar are packed in showroom-transport packaging in which they are arranged on store shelves.

The basis of the visual identity for baking soda and citric powder is a modern typography in combination with a geometric pattern and a stylized depiction of the types of products (a stylized lemon for the citric powder and a rhomb for the baking soda).
